Tús Maith

We are acutely aware of the many anxieties and concerns of both students, their parents/ guardian on the transfer from Primary to Post Primary School. With this in mind, Presentation Tralee has developed a unique induction week when students complete the 'Tús Maith Programme'. This programme was specifically designed to support a seamless transition into the life of secondary school, to provide the necessary support and guidance and to enhance their school experience.

The programme reflects the Junior Cycle Key Skills and the Wellbeing Indicators.

Beginning The Journey

In Presentation Tralee, we understand that the journey from primary to post primary education can be both thrilling and daunting, which is why we've designed a comprehensive week-long Student Induction Programme to make this change seamless and enjoyable for all our new Presentation students. Tús Maith is a transformative experience that will pave the way for our students to have a successful and fulfilling secondary school journey.

As they embark on this new academic journey, students will have the opportunity to write a letter to their future selves. This reflective exercise will serve as a reminder of their aspirations and growth throughout their secondary school years.

We understand that moving to secondary school can be overwhelming. That's why we provide students with a structured support network that includes a dedicated Year Head, Class Tutor, and Student Mentor.
