Transition Year 2024 – 25 off to a great start.

Transition Year 2024 –2025 in Presentation Secondary School started with lots of fun and creativity when our new TY students were given the task to create outfits made from newspapers for a fashion at the end of Day 1. Through effective teamwork, many hands made light work of designing, modelling and presenting the amazing TY Autumn 24 Paper Couture in the gym. Accompanied by specially chosen soundtracks and big rounds of applause, our courageous models walked down the catwalk to round off a very successful first day of Transition Year.

First Outing for Transition Year Students exploring our beautiful Tralee Bay

TY students had a dry day for their first walk of the year on which the first stop was Blennerville Windmill.  After walking along the river and looking at the wildlife on its banks, all students took part in a guided tour of the windmill and enjoyed the model railway exhibition afterwards.  After a short break the TYs walked on along the canal, via Cockleshell Road to the Spa where they enjoyed freshly cooked chips at Spa Seafoods.  It was a great opportunity to chat and mingle with the international students who have joined TY this year and learn a bit more about the history and nature in the surrounding area.
