Science Week in Pres kicked off with a visit of a Planetarium Dome for 2nd and 3rd yr Science students. It was an immersive experience which allowed our students to step into space and was of particular benefit for our 3rd yrs studying Earth and Space this term. It certainly was an astronomical start to Science Week 2024!
The week continued with a fun mix of all things Science! From table quizzes, to dingbats, magic science shows, scavenger hunts, CPR refresher course for 6th yrs, rocket design and launch as well as a very exciting CSI event for 4th yrs. Students enjoyed performing finger print, blood spatter and hair/fiber analysis, as well as chromatography, footprint and chemical analysis!
Science Week not only got students excited about Science but also taught critical thinking, problem solving and real world applications of forensic techniques.
We would like to thank our Parents Council who were so supportive of all our Science week activities.
