School Planning
In Presentation Secondary School Tralee, we believe that a good school is a learning school. Inspired by our root beliefs, our mission statement and our core values, we constantly strive for improvement.
As directed by the Department of Education and Skills, each year the school completes a School Self Evaluation Report (SER) which in turn informs our School Improvement Plan (SIP)
Looking at Our School (LAOS)
Looking at Our School 2022: A Quality Framework for Post-Primary Schools is a framework that provides a shared understanding of what effective and highly effective learning, teaching, leadership and management practices look like in the Irish school system. It follows on from the 2016 publication of the same name and provides a unified and coherent set of standards for two dimensions of the work of schools:
- Learning and Teaching
- Leadership and Management
The document serves as a tool to help schools identify areas of strength and areas needing improvement, guiding them towards enhancing the quality of education and ensuring the best possible learning outcomes for students. Through this evaluation process, schools can develop action plans to address any identified shortcomings and make informed decisions for continuous improvement.
