Presentation Secondary School is taking part in the Green-Schools programme and currently working on the Travel theme. This week is Clean Air Week and as part of our work on promoting sustainable travel to and from school, we have decided to launch a “No Idling” campaign. Engine idling is when your car engine is running but you’re not moving. When car engines are running carbon dioxide is emitted making air quality worse. More information on car idling is available on our school awareness noticeboard.
From Monday the 18th November, all vehicle owners are asked to turn their engines off whilst they wait in the car park. Get on board by signing a no idling pledge. This small change will help improve air quality, reduce emissions and create a healthier environment around our school gates. We can make a real difference and improve the quality of air we all breathe. Let’s give it a go!
We would like to thank you for your continued support and we will keep you updated.
