Mentor and Tús Maith Programme

Before school officially opened to students, fifteen of our 5th years students attended an in-house training session facilitated by three teachers. These students spent the day learning about the traits and qualities of being a successful mentor. Our mentors play a vital role in our induction programme. They organised a few activities to do with their mentees during the Tus Maith week.

Tus Maith, meaning a good start, is unique to Pres Tralee. It gives our incoming students time to meet new friends, figure out how to find their way around the school and an introduction to Pres, its roots and how it has grown and developed.

The Tus Maith programmed culminated in an afternoon in the sun, where students participated in some fun team building exercises and some Irish dancing!!!
