… who took part in the 2020 Waltons Music for Schools Competition. There was a massive nationwide entry and only six schools were successful, however a further six schools received a highly commended award. We are delighted that Presentation Secondary School received the highly commended award. Well done to all the students and to their teachers.
John Mardirosian, Director of Waltons New School of Music said of the choir; “The first-round adjudicators (I was one) all felt that Presentation Secondary School’s entry was very good indeed. The Competition theme was well addressed, and there was solid student involvement in the project. The entry also scored highly in terms of inclusiveness by including participants not only from all years but of different abilities. We liked the energy of the performance, the solid choral singing and the use of sign language.“
