Young Mural Artists from Pres, Tralee got to see their work installed in the Church of the Immaculate Conception on Wednesday 15th of January just before it is put away until next Christmas. Fr Sean Jones, who is the School Chaplain, welcomed the students and told them how members of the congregation from several different countries were touched to see that the word “peace” was included in their various different languages and how the bright colours, especially the angels’ blue hair, caught the attention of younger visitors to the Church. The girls chatted about how they designed the brightly coloured mural together as a team and worked very hard to get it painted in time for Christmas but they hadn’t had a chance to visit it as a group until this week. The students were absolutely delighted when Fr. Sean presented each of the artists with a voucher in appreciation for all their great work.
