6th Year Graduation

May 19, 2019

The class of 2019 gathered on Friday, May 17th in St. John's church for Mass and graduation ceremony.  Students met with their teachers at the school and walked proudly for the final time though Pres primary to the church.  "Remember your roots as you light up the world" was the theme they chose and this was reflected throughout the afternoon's proceedings. Fr. Séamus Linnane welcomed students, teachers and families and set the tone for a beautiful, prayerful and student- centred ceremony. Ms. Kelly, Deputy Principal and Ms. Kennelly, Principal addressed the girls and wished them well on the next chapter of the journey. Michelle Doody and Ciara Boyd gave a stirring and humorous speech. They spoke of the extra 5 Ps of Pres that they themselves had... Praise, Priceless, Progress, Potential and Precious and indeed how they and their fellow 6th years were all proud Pres girls. Ms. Kelly thanked all who took part in and organised the Mass. Certs and a memento were presented and the ceremony ended with our Pres anthem "Who will light the lantern" and their Graduation Song "I'll always remember you"
